Dominique added a new state to her traveling adventure when she was accepted into the New York Film Academy Two-Year Musical Theatre and Film Conservatory. In preparation, she took the school's a four week summer intensive Acting for Film Workshop. New York City was full of surprises, even for a veteran traveler. She discovered, for example, the city is run by gay men that she adores, everyone owns a poodle or a bull-dog, and elevators weren’t invented until after her building was built.
While in the Big Apple, Dominique met some incredibly fascinating people. She had the honor of interning for some of New York's finest entertainers, work hard in school, see a multitude of Musicals (she saw Next to Normal 21 times and American Idiot 15...Needless to say, she was living the life), be in her first movie musicals, do side projects, and enjoy the nightlife. She knew that she would return to New York eventually, but as for now, it was time for a new adventure.
