All About Dominique

Dominique Lalonde is a Vancouver based actress represented by Aaron Alexander of Trisko Talent Inc. She is known for her work in Hallmark's The Nine Lives of Christmas, and The Interview starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. She also plays the recurring character Taylor in her first TV Series, Tide Waters.

She graduated from the New York Film Academy after studying Musical Theatre & Film for two years in NYC. She is also a producer and owner of Be Fearless Productions.

She was born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada and later in life became an Immigration Brat. In three years, she moved 17 times, bringing her journey total to 25. She's ecstatic to see what life has in store next, and is working, loving, and living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Scroll down for details.

CANADA
In Canada, she fell in love with musicals at the age of three while watching her Dad play violin in the pit. She performed in West Side Story, Godspell (Robyn), and Jesus Christ Super Star (Mary Magdalene) in highschool at St. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School.

She auditioned for schools around America and England and although she was accepted into most of them, she decided to take more time to work on personal projects. She feels blessed to have recorded a pop rock/ musical theatre demo with Glenn Forrester, a leader in Sound Management

and Recording in Canada. Dominique was delighted to have the talented Joel Derouin, the Concert Master for Americal Idol and musical genius, play on the album as well.

ARIZONA
She immigrated to the U.S. and moved to Arizona to study theatre at Northern Arizona University. While she was there, she realized she craved a conservatory setting in the epicenter of entertainment and art, New York City.

While waiting to hear back from New York conservatories, she explored her new home in Tucson, Arizona and was quickly accepted into a local theatre family at Studio Connections. In her short time there, she was able to help with the productions Sweet Charity and

Sylvia, expanding her knowledge of costumes, sound, lights, and house management, allowing her to feel more well-rounded in her field.

NEW YORK CITY
Dominique added a new state to her traveling adventure when she was accepted into the New York Film Academy Two-Year Musical Theatre and Film Conservatory. In preparation, she took the school's a four week summer intensive Acting for Film Workshop.

New York City was full of surprises, even for a veteran traveler. She discovered, for example, the city is run by gay men that she adores, everyone owns a poodle or a bull-dog, and elevators weren’t invented until after her building was built.

While in the Big Apple, Dominique met some incredibly fascinating people. She had the honor of interning for some of New York's finest entertainers, work hard in school, see a multitude of Musicals (she saw Next to Normal 21 times and American Idiot 15...Needless to say, she was living the life), be in her first movie musicals, do side projects, and enjoy the nightlife. She knew that she would return to New York eventually, but as for now, it was time for a new adventure.

LOS ANGELES
After graduating her two year Musical Theatre and Film Program at the New York Film Academy, Dominique packed up her stuff, along with her Guinea Pigs, and headed west. She went back and forth between LA and Arizona for the summer, as she submitted to agencies, went to meetings, networked, tanned/burned on the beach, and taught Voice Lessons! Along the way though, she knew that in the end getting an American agent at this point in her life was not the soundest decision, and being as flexible as possible, changed her plans once again; thus beginning her latest chapter in the journey she calls life.

VANCOUVER
After many years of trying to find a place to call home, Dominique hopes to have at least a temporary one in Vancouver! She is working hard at making a name for herself back in Canada, and can't wait to see what comes next! Her goal is to travel as much as possible, act in all she can, make new friends, and live her life to the absolute fullest! Stay tuned to see what's next in the epic (at least in her own mind) tale!!!
